Like so many others, I’ve made the leap to iPhone and so far I’m really enjoying the switch. Rest assured I have no intention to write yet another iPhone review, but I will say that it feels like a big step forward in the quest for ubiquitous computing. I do have a simple question though… Does it make sense to have every email I send out include the “Sent from my iPhone” tag? Isn’t the real idea behind ubiquity that it doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing? I suppose adding the tag tells people to kindly ignore my typos, but my goal is to not compromise on the quality of communication no matter what device I’m using. And to be honest I find that pretty easy to do using the iPhone (or even my old Moto Q’s or Blackberry). I’m going to remove the “Sent from my iPhone” and just let folks on the other end focus on what/who really sent the message…. Me.
